Sail on- lyric to song from 70s. who sang that? Now i have to look it up in google or as we say, google it. Google is a verb. is it in the dictionary yet? Oh gosh, it was the Commodores, Lionel Richie, never a favorite but it did play on the radio a lot so i can sing along to it, that’s for sure. That was back in the day when we listened to 40 songs over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. “Crimson and Clover, over and over” until you wanted to scream. But you did become familiar with lyrics and artists. Now, i don’t know what folks do. They seem to know these bands at the Grammy’s. I am up to the 90s bands now but only because an IT guy typed in Classic Indie into the Pandora browser. Changed my life.
Sail. really, the 1st thing that popped into my head was sailing with my father on a little 15-foot sloop rig yellow Chrysler Mutineer sailboat on Lake McBride, a small lake in Eastern Iowa. That is a long story and i still wasn’t happy so i don’t even want to tell it. Who could complain about summers sailing with their father? Me.
this was incoherent but fun. It just sailed right along.
